What is greenwashing

By contadoracriptooficial@gmail.com ยท Updated 18/08/2026, 13:09 ยท โฑ readable in 30s

Greenwashing is communicating a sustainability image that doesn’t match the reality of a company’s actions or data, whether through exaggeration, omission, or a vague promise with no measurable target.

Why it matters: beyond reputational risk, greenwashing is now the direct target of regulation in Europe (the Green Claims Directive) and of lawsuits, turning overstated marketing into real legal and financial exposure.
