These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of ESG Minute, published at esgminute.com (English) and esgminute.com.br (Portuguese). By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. Who operates ESG Minute
ESG Minute is a publication operated by B21 Digital, part of the B21 group, which also operates Credita Carbon, a carbon credit retailer. Contact: contato@b21.digital. Editorial responsibility is described on our Masthead.
2. Informational content only
Everything on ESG Minute (news, explainers, glossary entries, the Brazil SBCE tracker, Methodology Watch pages, calculators and newsletters) is published for general information and education. It is not investment, financial, legal, tax, accounting or regulatory compliance advice, and it is not an offer or recommendation to buy or sell carbon credits, securities or any other asset.
Carbon markets, ESG rules and climate regulation change often and depend on your specific situation. Before making a decision, read the official source we link to and consult a licensed professional. The SBCE tracker follows public acts; it is not a legal opinion.
3. Accuracy and corrections
We link every figure to a primary source and check facts before publishing, but we cannot guarantee that every piece of content is complete, current or free of errors. When we confirm an error, we correct it in the article and list factual corrections in our public Corrections log. Our sourcing rules are in the Editorial Policy.
4. Use of AI in production
AI tools assist our production process, mainly to draft, summarise and translate between English and Portuguese. AI is not used to generate the underlying facts, prices or claims; those come from the primary source cited. The editor is responsible for every text published, with or without AI assistance.
5. Advertising and sponsored content
The site carries advertising, including ads served by Google AdSense and its partners. Advertising has no influence on coverage or story selection.
- All paid content is clearly labelled “Sponsored by [brand]” at the top, before the first paragraph.
- Every paid link uses
rel="sponsored". We do not sell links without it. - Sponsors and advertisers do not review, approve or veto editorial content.
- Sustainability claims in ads or sponsored content are accepted only with publicly accessible substantiation.
Commercial details are on our Advertise page. Ads are provided by third parties, and we are not responsible for the products or services they offer.
6. Intellectual property
Unless stated otherwise, the texts, tables, graphics and the design of ESG Minute belong to B21 Digital. You may quote short excerpts with attribution and a link to the original page. You may not reproduce, republish or sell substantial parts of the content, or copy it in bulk by automated means, without written permission.
Third-party names, trademarks, documents and data belong to their owners. Verra documents are summarised in our own words and linked, not reproduced. Data from the Verified Registry Open Data (VROD) set is used under CC BY 4.0 with attribution. Image credits are shown with each image when required.
7. Links to other sites
We link to regulators, registries, companies and other publications. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.
8. Calculators and tools
Calculators and estimates on the site use the assumptions stated on each tool. Results are illustrative and may differ from real prices, costs or outcomes.
9. Your conduct
When you comment, subscribe or contact us, do not post unlawful, defamatory or misleading content, spam, or material that infringes someone else’s rights. We may remove comments and block access that breaks these terms.
10. Limitation of liability
The site is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, B21 Digital is not liable for losses or damages arising from the use of, or reliance on, information published on the site, from third-party ads or links, or from temporary unavailability of the site. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer protection law.
11. Privacy
How we collect and use data, including cookies used for analytics and advertising, is explained in our Privacy Policy.
12. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest revision. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. Any dispute will be handled by the competent courts in Brazil, without prejudice to any mandatory rights you have as a consumer in your country of residence.
