This is our public statement of how ESG Minute is funded, who owns it, and what keeps money or affiliations from influencing what we publish.
Who owns it
ESG Minute (esgminute.com and esgminute.com.br) is a publication of the B21 group. The responsible editor and technical reviewer is Julia Santos.
How ESG Minute makes money
- Advertising, including Google AdSense. Ads do not pick topics or change text.
- Sponsorship of sections such as the SBCE tracker and the newsletter. When there is a content sponsor, the name will be listed here with the start date.
- Affiliate links, always labeled next to the link.
- Formats and commercial rules are on Advertise.
Rules for every sponsor and advertiser
- No review, approval or veto. This includes the SBCE tracker and the methodology pages.
- Label. Paid content carries “Sponsored by [brand]” at the top.
- Paid links. Always
rel="sponsored". - No sponsoring what they are assessed on. Certifiers and carbon credit programs (such as Verra and Gold Standard) do not sponsor the pages that assess their methodologies.
- Environmental claims. Accepted only with public proof. We may refuse or end a sponsorship that conflicts with this statement.
- Sponsorship does not buy coverage. A sponsor can be criticized or left out of a story, and the amount paid does not change that.
Use of AI
We use AI to draft, summarize and translate between Portuguese and English. Facts, numbers and dates come from the primary source cited and are checked in the technical review. The editor is responsible for all published text.
