The minute
- Updapt launched a Climate Risk Management module for identifying and prioritizing climate risks across company assets and locations
- The tool covers both physical risk (direct climate damage) and transition risk (cost of adapting to stricter regulation)
- It connects risk assessment directly to ESG reporting workflows, supporting frameworks including TCFD, BRSR and CSRD
Why it matters
Climate risk disclosure rules increasingly ask companies to rank which assets face the most exposure, not just state that climate risk exists in general, and most companies still do that ranking manually or not at all, which is exactly the gap this kind of tool is built to close.
Tools that connect risk scoring directly to reporting workflows are becoming more common as frameworks like TCFD, now folded into ISSB standards, push companies to back up disclosures with asset-level analysis rather than boilerplate language. via ESG Today
